About Me

My photo
Kirk Witmer
Kirk has never won an award for his paintings and has never been in a juried show. He probably never will, because he believes that art should not be a competition, but instead should be enjoyed and appreciated by the viewer, free from the influences of judges and jurors. "When critics give their opinions they take away the individual's right to appreciate a work of art for themself and art is too important to be left to critics."
